Collocations

Collocations are words that are frequently placed together. So, a collocation in English is a group of two or more words that are often found together either in English speech or English writing.

The regular or conventional pairing of words or phrases that commonly appear together in a language is referred to as a collocation in linguistics. Collocations are particular word combinations that, in accordance with linguistic rules, frequently and naturally occur together. When used together, these word combinations frequently have a stronger association or meaning than when the individual words are used alone or with other words.
